A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Where can I find a pair like yours?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal golden goose men going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
How expensive are they?
When I ordered my pair in April, I paid just under $390, but their regular price is around $514.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also be smart.

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
